Abstract

The FFCLRP has radically changed the RTI resource funding investment, according to the guidelines from the FAPESP advice in previous requests; investing without fragmenting the funds and in fact, focusing in collective investments with interdepartamental scope and consequently, interdisciplinary.As of knowledge, FFCLRP is a heterogeneous Unit, composed since 2010 of seven departments (Biology; Mathematics and Computer Sciences; Education; Information and Communication; Physics; Music; Psychology; and Chemistry). They cover three classic knowledge areas: Human, Exact and Biological Sciences. In practice, these departments work, mostly, as real institutes with natural independence to perform their guidelines in the scientific research field.This success in fulfilling such mission is proven by our position in the ten most productive units among the 46 that compose the University of São Paulo and fall between the second and third in the Ribeirão Preto campus.This condition is enabled by the over 75 consolidated and active research groups, in most different research areas, distributed in the seven departments and respective post graduation programs of FFCLRP. Add to that 80 teachers with CNPQ productivity research scholarships, 39 being level1 and 41 level 2 which corresponds to 37.4% of all 214 teachers of the unit.In that line of reasoning, the funds received are distributed with differentiated criteria in the collective investment referring to: preventive and corrective maintenance of multiuser's equipment; treatment and disposal of chemical residues; expansion/adjustment/ improvement in computer network for data transmission; acquisition and maintenance of energy generators, electric and computer infrastructures focusing in scientific research parks to improve/adapt/expand research laboratories.It should also be noted that all items requested are among the stipulated criteria and permitted in the rules of use of this benefit and none of them fit in the restrictionsTherefore, according to the exposed, we register our request for approval of our proposition of the fund's investment.That being said, we are at your disposal for any issues or doubts and count on your understanding and attention to our request.
