Abstract

The Project represents a chance to enter in this market at local and global levels. Orbital Engenharia developed and qualified processes of EWIS manufacturing for use in space systems (rockets and satellites). The developed processes were used for cabling manufacturing and supply for the Brazilian Space Program, having now important flight history, as for example, in the Sounding Vehicle VSB-30 and in the Solar Arrays for the China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite - CBERS (CBERS-2B, CBERS-3 and CBERS-4). Based on the already developed advanced manufacture processes for space use, it is intended to develop the advanced cabling manufacture processes for use in both sectors aeronautical and defense. The processes and procedures development methodology will be based on Systems Engineering and practices of Project Management and Product Assurance established on aerospace sector. The large-scale serial manufacturing introduces an important differential between the cabling manufacturing processes for the aeronautical sector and the space sector. (AU)
