Abstract
Dry beans are produced in Brazilian territory on extensive area of cultivation.. As a culture with little production technology involved, the disease control is done mainly by the application of fungicides which do not have effective against bacterial diseases, among them bacterial wilt, caused by Curtobacterium flaccumfacien spv. flaccumfaciens. Currently, the use of resistant cultivars is the main way of managing the disease, but the processes that give dry bean cultivars resistance are still unknown. Therefore, this project seeks to assess the dynamics of colonization of resistant and susceptible plants by bacteria as well as the biochemical, morphological and physiological processes involved in resistance and agronomic parameters affected in resistant and susceptible cultivars.
