Abstract

The correct dosage and its uniform and efficient distribution of these are directly related to the profitability of agriculture. Several methodologies have been used to assess longitudinal distribution seeder-fertilizer feeder mechanisms. The laser profilometry based on triangulation is a method for measuring depth of points in space that use a laser beam to scan the object. The image of a laser line projected on a surface of an object is captured and treated in image analysis software which calculates the profile. The objective of this work is to build and test a laser profiler that will be attached to a car seeder-fertilizer tests. This move to deposit the fertilizer on a rail in "V" form. To determine the volume applied to the system calculates the area of each profile separate by 5 cm. With the average area of two subsequent profiles multiplied by the distance between them is obtained partial volume. The sum of all of them will provide the total volume applied. (AU)
