Abstract

Work plan - Provisional dates for project: August 1st-15th September 2017: August 1st - 3th. Blood pressure measurements. 100 mice randomized with respect to treatment. 15min for each measurement per mouse will take 3 days to complete; August 3rd -15th: Heart rate variability measurements with exercise-induced heart rate recovery and pharmacological assessment of parasympathetic tone. Estimated 40min per animal, 8 days in total; August 16rd -22nd: Novel object recognition tests. Estimated 12min per animal per session with 2 sessions necessary. 5 days in total; August 23rd -September 1st: Morris Water Maze. Estimated 20min per animal per session with 2 sessions necessary. 8 days in total; September 4th -September 8th: Contextual Fear Conditioning. Estimated 12min per animal session with 2 sessions necessary. 5 days in total; September 11th: Seminar to USP staff and students on the use of viral vector technology; September 13-14th: data archiving and equipment set-down*; September 15th: return to London-UK. *Full data analysis will be completed after all experimental data has been collected. No time has been allotted for data analysis during the project to maximize data collection. (AU)
