Liquid formulation of nematophagous fungi and humic and fulvic acids

Abstract

The nematodes are listed by the Ministry of Agriculture as one of the eight pests that cause more economic damage to Brazilian agriculture. Among the species mentioned are Pratylenchus brachyurus, Meloidogyne javanica, M. incognita and Heterodera glycines. All are very harmful in soybeans and beans, and the first three are for most crops such as sugarcane, corn, banana, vegetables in general, coffee, pastures, among others. The percentage of damage varies between species of nematodes and affected crops, as 20, 30, 50, 60 and 100%. Nematophagous fungi can be parasites or predators eggs. Purpureocillium lilacinum (syn .: Paecilomyces lilacinus) is the most widely used parasite eggs in nematode control in the world. Arthrobotrys species are among the most promising among the predators. In the proven efficacy, these fungi multiply well in culture medium, speeding industrial processes. Humic and fulvic acids can release phosphorus adsorbed to soil solution, increasing the CTC, water retention, aggregation and porosity of the soil, and stimulate the microbiota of soil. The project objective will be to obtain the commercial formulation of nematophagous fungi. All experiments should be regularized with RET (Special Temporary Registration) and Good Experimental Practice (GEP). In the former will be determine the required amount of the formulation matrix, which will be used five doses of the matrix of nematophagous fungi Arthrobotrys musiformis, A. oligospora and P. lilacinum previously in grain rice colonized and without fungi: 0 (control), 50 , 250, 500, 750 and 1000 g / l of AHF (humic and fulvic acids). It will also be tested using stabilizer and additive protective fungi in the formulation. The additives are: vegetable oil, commercial emulsifiable vegetable oil, vegetable oil with emulsifying agent alginate and vegetable oil with tween. Fifteen days after the addition, it will be measured the number of CFU / ml of AHF. The alternative allowing more number of CFU will be used in the experiment to determine the useful life of the formulation. The chosen formulation is packaged in hermetically sealed packaging, aluminized and kept at room temperature in the shade for 90 days. Every 15 days will be evaluate the number of CFU / ml of AHF. At the end of 90 days, the formulation will be applied to lettuce plants in the trial of efficacy and agronomic feasibility. Therefore, an experiment with increasing doses of the formulation chosen in the previous experiment will be installed. Doses are applied at 0, 100, 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000 ml p.c./ha treated at 10 l of water suspension/ ha. They will be used five increasing doses of the formulation, the control without application and standard product (product registered for the target). At the end of the activities, the expected search result will be a formulation of nematophagous fungi on humic and fulvic acids with nematicide action, and the necessary characteristics to be marketed and used in the control of nematodes (AU)
