Abstract

The goal is to enable the production of bakeout tents for several situations of ultrahigh vacuum (UHV), according to the demand specified at the FAPESP/FINEP call 0107077500, attachment 1, challenge 13, in order to operate with large components as monochromators and experimental stations, as well as smaller settings of the·Sirius Acelerator to be started in the near future. The tents to be assembled will have geometric and conformational figures adapted to the specific equipment modules to be served. The dimensional project of each tent will always be unique and customized for each of the equipments. Some standard pieces and facilities, like for example tubing, may be served by standard modules. The company has already made an initial investment, producing a prototype which was tested during a real experiment at the LNLS UVX line in end of January/2016, reaching successful validation of the concepts used as project background. However, several development stages will be required to reach the 'definitive product with both .desired technical features and cost level comparable to international parameters, hence the need of this financial support under request at this project. The main challenge is combining technologies available at different areas. It will be necessary to: develop the best combination of thermal blankets and thermal insulators available locally and internationally, with focus on efficiency, conformability and cost; develop modules which will serve as structure for the settings; remote controllers to the heating systems; and optimize the heating modules. Additionally, we intend to develop remote control systems for the settings. The development of expertise on the several technologies involved will also enable creation of novel products to serve other markets, such as heating blankets and temperature controllers to many other types of experimental settings and pilot plants.
