Abstract

This project will jointly determine the effect of city features (land use, green areas, density, population, skyline on direct household energy consumption. A literature review will identify the algorithms to determine the energy consumption related to the main urban energy services. These relationships will be integrated in a agent based model. The objective is evaluating the combined effect of single measures aiming to reduce energy consumption. For instance, the model will show if increasing population density reduces energy consumption.
