Abstract

This research project proposes a theoretical study of the dynamics of charge and spin carriers in semiconductor nanostructures for the purpose of operations on qubits. Our proposal is to numerically simulate the physics of realistic semiconductor systems which are currently taken as promising platforms for the development of quantum computation. The focus is on the study of operations on qubits by the use of external applied fields, contributing to the development of protocols both innovative and robust under decoherence process. (AU)
