Abstract

This project concerns the development of hydrodynamics as a field theory, an alternative way to derive and understand hydrodynamics capable of capturing aspects inaccessible to more traditional approaches, such as microscopic fluctuations and polarization. We aim to systematically study the field theory of both ideal and dissipative hydrodynamics, both in terms of analytical expansions and numerical simulations (AU)
