Abstract

Mosquitoes-borne diseases Dengue Fever, Zika, Yellow Fever and Chikungunya represent major public health issues in Brazil and in the world. In the last few years it has become increasingly obvious the impact of mosquitoes-borne diseases as major cause of mortality in human population. In the last few years many mathematical models have been developed to describe the dynamics of the disease and to analyse how the interaction with external variables such as climatic conditions, can influence the transmission and diffusion of the epidemics. In this project is proposed the investigation of a new methodology for describing the dengue transmission dynamics, considering populations of mosquitoes and humans, as well as the effects of temperature and rainfall on the proliferation of this disease. The optimal control of this disease will also be investigated. (AU)
