Abstract
During pregnancy, the fetus heart suffers numerous changes to form the major blood vessels and thus, become the central organ which pumps blood through rhythmic contractions around the body. The pregnancy diagnosis in sheep incorporates economic value for producers, and, when performed early, in accordance with the ability to quantify the fetuses, it is useful to adapt the nutritional management. Heart rate is an important parameter related to the cardiovascular system of the individual, the presence of diseases and disorders that involve physiological status, and its service monitor to detect changes related to fetal viability and assists in the pregnancy diagnosis. Thus, the objectives of this study will be describe the behavior of electrocardiographic parameters (ECG), echocardiography, normal heart rate (HR), indices of heart rate variability (HRV), blood pressure and its association with biochemical profiles (NT-proBNP) in sheep and neonates. For this study we will use 10 ewes with different ages, the Dorper breed, in all months of gestation (five months) and after childbirth. The sheep and lambs will be evaluated 24 hours, 7 °, 14 °, 21 °, 28 ° and 35 ° day; 2 months, 3 months, 4 months after the birth (AU)
