Abstract
This research project aims the study of theoretical trends of Latin American Social Work currently. It prioritizes six countries of that part of the American Continent: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay Chile and Costa Rica, all of which have relevant experiences in the area, although some are not yet known. The proposal derives of several years of study and research in Latin American Social Work and includes three important universities of the State of São Paulo: Unesp, PUC and UNIFESP. Both in undergraduate and graduate levels and researchers of the tree centers will work together. The study will contemplate critical appropriation of relevant works for the considered countries and will also consider data from relevant conferences of Social Work in those countries. (AU)
