Abstract

This document presents the need to use the resources of the Institutional Technical Reserve granted by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP) for the acquisition of an equipment for a storage expansion, data network and videoconferencing update of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM).Due to the increased demand for data storage on CNPEM as well as technological obsolescence and the limitations of data network and videoconferencing, this project aims to: I) expand the capacity for storing scientific, technical and administrative data; II) update the equipment that makes up the data and voice transfer infrastructure; II) update the equipment of the Center's videoconferencing service. With these improvements, it will be possible to increase the capacity, availability, reliability and productivity of the information generated and manipulated by the Institution. (AU)
