Abstract

This project has as main objective to develop process for obtaining nanofibers based on polymeric materials via electrospinning technique for building delivery systems for cosmetics actives employing infrastructure capable of scaling. More specifically, it is aimed the generation of nanofibers employing polymer solutions of alginate, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as main constituents of the matrix encapsulating of hydrophilic active (Vitamin B3) and hydrophobic active (Vitamin E) to cosmetics application in face masks. The project will be conducted in a single phase, developed in laboratory scale. The activities will be carried out in 4 different stages: 1) Bibliographic survey, acquisition of raw materials and acquisition and installation of infrastructure; 2) Generation and characterization of samples in the absence of actives; 3) Generation and characterization of samples containing encapsulated actives; 4) Performance evaluation.
