Abstract

The aiming of this work is the electrochemical deposition of AuxSny-alloys multilayers. A previous study of chemical solutions will identify the best chemical solutions. Two depositions mechanisms, the electrodeposition and the electroless deposition will be investigated. The deposition solutions will be characterized by cyclic voltammetry to identify the depositions potential. Then, a pulsed signal will be used to control the stoichiometry of the electrodeposited layers. Simultaneous processes of electrodeposition and electroless deposition will be used to control the AuxSny stoichiometry. The deposition rate and morphology of the layers will be verified. The characteristics of the deposited layers will be evaluated by Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Four-point Probe Method, Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), and Analytic mass measurement.
