Abstract

The main goal of this project is to study the similarities (evidenced by preliminary studies) of a changeover in the properties (due to configurational rearrangement) of molecular hexacyanometallates compounds. To reach this goal it will be electrochemically prepared the following hexacyanometallates compounds: Co4[Fe(CN)6]3 and Cr[Cr(CN)6]3. The properties of these compounds will be evaluated by means of electrochemical, electrogravimetrical and optical techniques (and complementary by spectroscopic techniques, including X-ray diffraction analysis). The in situ compositional variation control, which allows evaluate the changeover, will be characterized by means of voltammetric techniques in situ with quantitative electrogravimetric measurements. Obviously, the determination of electrogravimetric properties will be performed by a high precision and fast quartz crystal microbalance.
