Abstract

Classically singular space-times will be studied from the view point of quantum mechanics. The introduction of quantum mechanics will be made in two different ways. The first consists in coupling conformally scalar and spinorial fields to the gravitational field and studying the behavior of a single particle wave packet in this curved background. The second consists in to find the wave function of the "universe" by solving Wheeler-DeWitt equation for the canonical variables of the space-time. (AU)
