The proposed research main goal is to develop, calibrate and validate an edafoclimatological model of forest productivity. The work will be conducted in Eucalyptus plantation in the region of Capão Bonito, southern state of Sao Paulo. The edafoclimatological model, unpublished, here called 3-PGIS, the expression acronym Physiological Processes Predicting Growth in Geographical Information System will present temporal and spatial dimension and will be written in language computing type VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), associated with the program Microsoft Excel ®, with results compatible with the software of geographical information systems. Information as soil texture, analysis of macro and micronutrients, water holding capacity, leaf analysis, data from meteorological stations and dendrometric measurements in different soil types will be evaluated and used to calibrate the model. His validation will be judged confronting simulated data with data from field. Finally, aims to compose the model in its form and control space-time, to be applied under the edafoclimatological conditions of the region Capão Bonito, becoming an essential tool in support of sustainable forest management.
