Abstract

This proposal aims at studying aspects of the history of cosmology in the twenty, when the cosmological studies had been stimulated by important developments of observational astronomy and by new physical theories. From the chosen episodes two didactic activities will be developed, in the form of case study, in order to allow discussion on the Nature of Science topics as suggested by Structuring Themes "Universe, Land and life" of the National Curricular Standards. In the particular case of this research, we will apply and evaluate the activities in disciplines Physics Teaching Practice of the course of Licenciatura em Ciências Exatas of the Institute of Physics of São Carlos of the University of São Paulo, taught by for this proposal advisory. To develop it, the proponent will study some of the main accepted philosophical interpretations on the nature of the scientific knowledge, as well as historical studies concerning the development of the main cosmological theories.
