Abstract

Since Landsat spatial program (1970), earth observation and analysis became feasible. In any orbital imaging system, the orientation data (effemerids and attitude) provided by the built -in sensors are not enough to generate images with high geometric accuracy, being necessary to indirectly orientate these images using control points or lines, or correct the orbital parameters using these control elements. The aim of this project is to study and experimentally assess block triangulation models for orbital images, mainly CBERS images due its strategic importance for the country. The models will be implemented in a new software (TMS- Triangulation with multi sensors), considering the multissensor triangulation with multifeatures control (points and lines) approach. The object entities can have known coordinates (control entities) or can be estimated during the adjustment process. Experiments using simulated and real data will be carried out. The accuracy assessment will be carried out with independent ground check points.
