Abstract

The chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is a condition that affects a large number of women, and of difficult diagnosis, the etiology may be linked to organs of upper genital tract, blood vessels, muscles and fascia of the abdominal wall, pelvic floor, bladder and gastrointestinal tract. Among the gastrointestinal complaints functional constipation presents itself as one of the most frequently cited by women involved. Therefore, the combination of discomfort caused by two concomitant diseases could negatively affect the quality of life of these women. AIM: To evaluate the influence of chronic constipation in patients with CPP. Subjects and Methods: The study is the type of cross section. The research will be divided into two groups, Group A females, Group B women with CPP. Will be assessed the influence of constipation in women and the influence of constipation in women with CPP. Each group will consist of 30 women. Will be applied to assessment of constipation according to the Rome III criteria and a pain diary. Data analysis: To compare the cold in the population of normal women and in those with CPP will use the Student t test. The influence of cold pain in women with CPP will be evaluated in the final 3 months of study and analyzed the frequency of variables.
