This work will promote the study of images obtained by optical, scanning and atomic force microscopies, of different materials prepared by the research group of professor Aldo Job. The study of images will be made using mathematical and computational techniques, involving the tools labeled Fourier and wavelet transforms, and algorithms of pattern extraction and recognition, that will be guide by professor Messias Meneguette (specialist in the area). Also, will be held the construction of a database with the coefficients (signatures) removed from the processed images analyzed with these transforms. With this, is expected to know if there is a pattern between images of a sample group, about thin films or membranes of pure natural rubber or mixtures of natural rubber with different additives, like carbon black, metallic nanoparticles of gold or silver, leather shave, polyaniline, starch, etc.
