Abstract

This research is an analysis of the influence of painters and musicians of the so called the New York School group over contemporary movement of musical and plastic Western artists that use generative process in its development. In addition to the analysis of works and texts by or about those artists, a multimedia installation will be developed, by the author, to a comparison study over the methodology used in it with the one of those artists. The main scope of this research is to answer the following question: What is the relationship between the methodology of artistic creation of current movements that make use of generic process with the artistic experiments during the decades of 60 and 70?
