Abstract

The genus Dysschema Hübner, 1818 is currently formed by 88 species exclusively from the neotropical region. Currently, Dysschema comprises 11 synonyms for the genus, and there is no consensus about the number of species that belong to it, since some species maybe synonyms of others. This work proposes, through the study of morphological characters of adults and immatures, to analize the phylogenetic relationships of the species currently included in Dysschema, aiming a better taxonomic definition of these tiger moths.
