Abstract

Excess properties have been a qualitative and quantitative way to predict ideality deviation of liquid binary mixtures. Moreover the excess properties have been used to development molecular theories and new solution models. As a continuation of a study of Chemical Thermodynamics of Solution, in this work will be realized an experimental study and modeling of volumetric properties of binary mixtures containing fuel mixtures. The volumetric properties will be calculated from densities of pure component and of their solution by using the thermodynamics formalism. The system studied will be: methanol/MTBE, methanol/ETBE, ethanol/MTBE e ethanol/ETBE over the entire composition range as a function of temperature from (288.15 to 303.15) K and over an extended pressure range (0,1 to 40) MPa. Experimental excess molar results will used to test the applicability of the ERAS Model.
