Abstract We will study the time evolution of quantum states using an Initial Value Representation based on complex trajectories. This method was proposed recently by the supervisor using heuristic arguments e proved efficient and accurate. In this project we intend to present a derivation of this procedure from first principles. We also intend to apply the method to scattering by attractive potentials, where the reflected wave should be computable with the complex trajectories. Chaos will also be introduced via time dependent terms in the potential. The semiclassical results will be compared with exact calculations obtained via the Split-Time Operator method. | |
