Abstract

The bone has a fundamental role for various activities of the body and serves as a communication system carrying information from the brain to the body and body to the brain very quickly. Spinal cord injury is a serious occurrence for animals as for humans, is a highly disabling condition and is real challenge for rehabilitation due to sensory problems, motor and visceral changes important. The main consequences of spinal cord dysfunction are the autonomic nervous system and paralysis of muscles and loss of sensation innervated by the damaged section and immediately below this level. This project aims to evaluate the treatment with stem cells from the olfactory epithelium of mice that are transplanted into spinal cord injury induced in rabbits of New Zealand will be subsequently analyzed locomotor behavior in question following the method described in the literature and analysis on mobile light microscopy of material collected from the injured site
