Abstract

Abstract: The present work is to monitor the development of a project to extend the core teaching of the Faculty of Science and Technology - UNESP - Presidente Prudente. The extension project is developing an intervention to the theoretical and practical with the children's second year and second grades of elementary school in physical education classes at a state school in the municipality of Presidente Prudente. The objectives of this research are to analyze and understand what are the senses, meanings, values and perceptions about the concepts of "social exclusion" and "poverty", as manifested by children who experience such situations, check with the development of the project, which would be the transformations that can be perceived in the meanings and forms of understanding, the participating children about the concepts of "social exclusion" and "poverty". To complement this analysis we will base on elaborations of the theory-historical-cultural Vygotsky (1996). Intends to follow in the Physical Education classes, a class of second years of primary education that are included in that project. Be studied through direct observation, through notes in the notebook field, where we will record the development of activities, looking in some detail the description of interpersonal relationships observed. The aim is to record in detail the wealth of events in which the school routine is layered and that the development of a project of this nature presents us. In order to seek to capture elements of reality that only the researcher's perspective can not capture, will be conducted semi-structured interviews with 8 children in the room together. To analyze the interviews we will base on studies by Bakhtin (1990), that part of a social historical perspective, which conceives the individual as part of a group that shares a social conscience permeated by signs which are components of the processes of social interaction. By crossing out the various categories will arise for consideration as the second author, where the places listed in that cross and intertwine as centers for organizers as a whole and referred to the social environment they are part of individuals. Thus, ascertaining the results, and impacts of this educational activity in the training of school children who participated in project activities. (AU)
