Abstract The surubim-Paraíba (Steindachneridion parahybae) is a migratory fish river basin of the river Paraíba-do-sul, and currently is in the lists of endangered fish. Great concern about the conservation of genetic biodiversity and reforestation programs with this species has been raised, however, little is known about the reproductive management in captivity, adopting this practice for some empirical measures. The research objective was to generate basic information on the artificial breeding of surubim-Paraíba, especially with regard to the quality of gametes, artificial fertilization management and short-term storage of gametes. The experiment will be conducted in Hydrobiology STATION AND AQUACULTURE COMPANY ENERGY OF SAO PAULO (EHA/CESP), Paraibuna, Sao Paulo, Brazil. It Will be conducted two experimental studies in experimental factorial: (1) To evaluate the optimal sperm / oocytes / water used in artificial fertilization to dry, for both, the treatment will consist of five insemination doses (5,000, 50,000, 500,000, 5,000,000 and 50,000,000 spermatozoon.ovócitos-1 ) three volumes of water (10, 35 and 60 mL of water.mL-1 oocyte) and three replicas, (2) evaluate the effect of storage temperature on the short-gametes-out will be divided into two phases (2.1.) storage of oocytes in four exposure times (0, 60, 120 and 180 min. post-collection) at four temperatures of exposure (5, 15, 25 and 35 C) in three replicas (2.2) storage Semen assessments on eight times (0, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 48 and 64 hours post-collection) at four different temperatures (5, 15, 25 and 35 degrees Celsius) with 10 replicates (10 males). The results of these tests may serve as a basis for future programs of reforestation, conservation of genetic biodiversity, and, providing the optimization of arrays through the rational use of their gametes | |
