Abstract

Many extensions of the standard model predict the existence of new particle with masses in the TeV range. The decays of these new states produce very energetic standard model particle, eg top quarks. Therefore, the decay products of these energetic particle are highly collimated, forming "fat jets". In this project we will study the production and detection of the Kaluza-Klein modes of gluons and elevtroweak gauge boson in extra dimension theories. We will focus on t-tbar final states, analyzing the techniques needed to unravel their existence.
