Abstract Fossil groups, which are galaxy systems where the gap in magnitude between the twofirst ranked members is larger than two magnitudes, are probably the most relaxed darkmatter haloes with high masses (M > 10^13M_Sun). In this project, by the use of imaging datacoming from world class telescopes (4-6m) with large field-of-view, we will investigatethese groups by using weak-lensing techniques. In particular we intend to find out whetheror not fossils groups are indeed relaxed systems and whether they are more concentratedthan normal galaxy systems, as expected. | |
