Abstract
The object of study of this research project are galaxy clusters in the context of the LSST survey, with extensive use of mass determination via weak gravitational lensing.Due to their privileged position at the top of the process of hierarchical formation of the structures of the Universe, clusters occupy an intersection between astrophysics and observational cosmology. On the one hand, these objects retain, in their quantity and distribution, information about the Universe that formed them, including dark energy. On the other hand, due to their almost closed nature, they act as cosmic laboratories where it is possible to study properties of dark matter and its interactions with itself and with baryonic matter. In this project we intend to contribute to cosmology via the abundance of galaxy clusters. Specifically, we intend to use the cluster probabilistic membership method to identify the best possible optical mass indicators. These will be calibrated with weak gravitational lensing stacks and can be used for cosmological studies. We also intend to identify and study in detail specific types of clusters, such as molten systems and fossil systems.
