Abstract

The project has as main objective to study the intensity fluctuations behavior in the Solar corona for different coronal structures, such as along open field lines, loops and plumes, observed indirectly using satellite images in the Extreme Ultra Violet (EUV) range. The Extreme UltraViolet Imager (EUVI), aboard the Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO) mission, provide a spatial and temporal resolution of sampling appropriate for the purpose of our study. Recently the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) mission was launched, carrying the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), which provides EUV images with capabilities of 1 arcsec resolution and cadence of 10 s or better, increasing scientifically the observation of the intensity fluctuations behavior in the solar corona. Thus, we intend to apply techniques for reliable measurements of the intensity fluctuations, to correlate the findings with streams and waves, as well as the determination of kinematic parameters of the different coronal structures through observational EUV images.
