Abstract

This project aims to give the student the complementary formation in the areas of geometric processing and nonlinear optimization. The multidisciplinarity of this proposition will give the student a clear view of the connection between different areas of the Exact Sciences and the importance of the basic mathematical knowledge acquired during his under graduation course to solve a specific problem, in this case, mesh optimization. The computational system that will be developed by the student will be used in libraries of mesh generation developed in the geometric processing group of SME-ICMC/USP.
