Abstract

The shoe industry generates a large amount of waste, being part of these of poly [(ethylene)-co-(vinyl acetate)] (EVA), a polymer widely used in the form of plates expanded thermosets. The residue devulcanization is presented as an alternative that may allow its use again as a raw material in the shoe industry. The objective of this project is devulcanize theses wastes in order to produce a material closer to the virgin one and make possible a new application. (AU)
