Abstract

Whereas the current scientific literature shows a trend of teachers working with children from 1st year of basic education of nine years focused their teaching practices in literacy activities, we intend to investigate whether the tendency mentioned appears among teachers in Marília- SP or if these professionals have unique characteristics and difficulties in their educational work and the reasons for the trends and difficulties relate to the issues present and absent in the actions of the team continued training of the Municipal Secretariat of Education has developed, as well as diagnose training needs of teachers. In this sense, the research aims to answer the following questions: what are the difficulties and the guiding axes of the pedagogical work developed by teachers with children from 1st year of elementary school and what is the correlation between their choices and difficulties and the issues involved and Missing in action continued training the team of the Municipal Department of Education has developed the city? What are the training needs of teachers of the 1st year of that municipality? These training needs identified by teachers are the same as perceived by managers of schools and the municipality? Through the perspective of the case study, we use the following methodology: literature, documentary research, questionnaire with participating teachers; reflexive interviews with a sample of these teachers, with the managers of the schools where they work with these teachers and those responsible for training actions offered to teachers in 1st year of elementary school for nine years. Data analysis will be based on content analysis.
