Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the benefits of inclusion of acerola meal in feeding for broilers, on the productive aspects and gastrointestinal system morphophysiology at 21 and 42 days old. For this, we will use 840 birds distributed in a randomized complete block design with four treatments and seven replicates. The treatments will be: T0: basal diet (control treatment) - not including acerola meal in replacing corn, T5: inclusion of 5% acerola meal in replacing corn, T10: inclusion of 10% acerola meal in replacing corn, T15: inclusion of 15% acerola meal in replacing corn. It will be obtained data on performance and morphology of the small intestine. Statistical analysis of data will be made by analysis of variance and to test the significance between treatment means will be used Tukey test at 5% probability.
