Abstract

The goal in this project is that, in a first step, the student learns the technique of hyper-Rayleigh scattering with pulse trains produced by a Nd:YAG laser operating in the Q-switched and mode-locked regime. At this stage, the student will carry out measurements on para-Nitroaniline (PNA)samples, which is considered the standard molecule for calibration. Subsequently, he will use the knowledge gained for the measurement of organic molecules such as aminoacids and porphyrins. (AU)
