Abstract

The decision-making process involves different stages of the individual action in search of a better alternative. However, it is in the business context that decisions have an immediate impact on organizational actions, so any decision-maker has primary responsibility in these contexts, because one wrong decision can have very serious consequences for organizations and sometimes not be possible to reverse certain situations. The decision different possibilities that occur in organizational environment permeate the organic information - understood as that produced within the organization - because it is an input to decision-making. Starting from this problem we intend to observe if a decision-maker who has access to this information appropriately will be able to develop decision-making process more effectively, and to verify that the result will be directly proportional to the accomplishment of the mission, vision, objectives and organizational goals. In this context, we argue that the documentary typologies maintain formal flows existing in the organizations, so are organic information produced in those environments, which access and use effectively grant to the decision-making process. The research is characterized qualitative, exploratory-descriptive type, which method is the case study. The research base is made up of private health care company UNIMED, a unit of Bauru city, São Paulo State. For the collect and analysis of the project will produce a tool for identification of documentary typologies existing and will produce a questionnaire with open and closed questions, which will apply to managers of UNIMED, with the aim of identifying which documents/information is used for decision-making. It starts with the hypotheses that the typologies documentary organic management - until from production to disposal or permanent custody - will promote the existence of current, intermediate and permanent quality archives, providing the organization to achieve competitive advantage since the organization that actually makes better use of such information theoretically be able to fulfill its mission and organizational objectives.
