Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a very common dermatosis, and the lesions appear most commonly during puberty. The lesions become more evident and polymorphic and of varying intensity, disturbing the quality of life and triggering or worsening emotional problems that can become extremely serious. Some studies suggest that acne affects the lives of adults and adolescents at various levels, as their jobs, social behavior and body dissatisfaction. An effective clinical intervention may be considered a majority with regard to maintaining or restoring the well being of mind. Although the relation of cause and effect relationship between acne and psychological trauma is discussed for decades only recently had a change of focus, and analysis of the extent of the psychological effects was transferred to the analysis of the size of the effects on quality of life of patients. Therefore, knowledge about the impact of acne on quality of life has grown in recent years, however only a few studies related to that. This study intends to apply a questionnaire Dermatological Acne Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire, the 50 patients in the dermatology clinic of Hospital HC / UNICAMP. Through the application of the questionnaire and comparison with wrapping other clinical and epidemiological data of patients, you can evaluate how acne affects the quality of life and with that there may be improvement in the approach applied to patients, individualizing the treatment proposals.
