Abstract

This research intend to analyse the process of labor regulations in Brazil from reading the discussions in the Conselho Nacional do Trabalho between 1923 and 1930. With the suport of an especialized bibliography from Labor History and about the period called First Republic, the reading of the registers from CNT reveals important ways and mechanisms of dispute inside the process of labor regulation, wich started at the begining of XX century. Therefore, the analyse of the debates from CNT contributes for a better understanding at the formation of labor laws process in Brazil. The main objective of this research is to indentify practices, oppositions and disputes involving the State, employers and urban workers during implementation of those laws and implementations of ways to guaranty it.
