Abstract

The aim of this project is to train and improved the student on use of the characterization, processing and photodegradation equipments of the polymers. These equipments belong to Young Research Project, Photodegradation and Photostabilization of the polymeric blends and composites, from FAPESP, (process number 05/00322-1). The processing equipments are a Rotational Reometer (can be used as Mixer or Twin-screw Extruder), an Injection Molding Machine and a Hydraulic Compression Molding Machine, all of them belong to Polymer Processing Laboratory of the Polytechnic School (University of São Paulo - USP). However, the main aim of this project is to train and improved the student on use of the QUV Accelerated Weathering Chamber and Impact Machine, whose are essential equipments to development of the Young Research Project. The student could also have the opportunity to be trained in other equipments, like Thermo-analysis, Infrared-spectroscopy and mechanical tests. (AU)
