In electrocatalysis, almost all of troubles come from the complexity in the reaction mechanisms. Among them we can point out: (I) variety of reaction products; (II) structure of adsorbed intermediates; (III) pH effect; (IV) presence of anion in the supporting electrolyte, etc. Electrochemical reactions present a wide variety of self-organization phenomena, since the reactions occur often in far from equilibrium conditions. This project deals with the glycerol electro-oxidation in acid media on polycrystalline platinum under the point of view of the kinetic instabilities, a non-linear dynamic approach. The main goal is mapping the dynamic behavior during the glycerol electro-oxidation on platinum in acidic media. Taking into account this map, one intend to present a simple model which deals with key points necessary to a general description of the system dynamic. (AU)
