Abstract

By closely reading Caio Fernando Abreu's short stories present in the book Os Dragões não conhecem o paraíso, this study seeks to analyze the author's elaboration of the concepts of body and sexuality, through the elements that compose the narratives, such as time, plot, space and characters. In order to broaden the analysis, an interdisciplinary apparatus will be used that will resort to other areas of knowledge that have already treated these concepts, like psychoanalysis, anthropology, sociology and history, aiming to verify how these theories converge with Abreus's work.
