Abstract

The adoption is the parental relationship between people who have no genetic links, and links, thus fully affective. This context is frequently regarded as 'traumatic' for children who live it. To the adoptive parents it is no less difficult, since they can keep several fantasies, conscious and unconscious, about the adoption. This study aims to investigate the psychodynamics characteristics of adoptive mothers, the establishment of interpersonal relationships (particularly with the adoptive child), anxieties and defenses mobilized against the psychological conflicts experienced. This work will be done from the perspective of qualitative research, through the methodological strategy of cases studies. To do so, participate in the study mothers who adopted and whose children are in psychological care in a college psychology clinic. Will be conducted semi-structured interviews and application of Story-Drawing Procedure. At the end, a feedback will be offered to participants. The data will be submitted for free inspection of clinical material, proposed by Trinca. The interpretation will be undertaken accordance with the Winnicott theories.
