Abstract

The present work intends to reflect and analyze psychoanalytically the social care that mothers provide to institutionalized children in a Home Shelter in São Paulo's West heartland. Since Social Mothers are the main images that follow more directly the development of these individuals, participating into their daily routine, the purpose from this research is to capture the collective imaginary of these professionals in order to understand how they imagine and communicate the experience of mothering that they offer to these institutionalized children. The tool chosen to capture the collective imaginary will be Thematic Story-Drawing Procedure , from four social mothers.
