Abstract

The deep socio-historical transformations in which passes through the world has been accompanied by various forms of manifestations of psychological suffering. It is observed the emergence of new subjective configurations and psychopathological and, simultaneously, its resonance and impact on clinical psychology, requiring understanding and singular handling. The conducts that occur in the context of intersubjectivity are arranged from unconscious psychological fields that influence individual and collective practices. Therefore, it is important to identify the subjective conceptions about the contemporary psychic suffering in the imaginary of those who will compose the intersubjective context of the clinic in their professional practice or, in different ways, they must understand the new manifestations of human subjectivity. The objective of this study is to investigate the collective imaginary of graduate students in psychology about the contemporary psychological suffering from the perspective of psychoanalysis. This research will be held by using the drawing-story procedure as a theme, to obtain elements required for identifying significant categories of the contemporary psychic suffering and verify the possible implications of the concepts unveiled in the collective imaginary of the students investigated in their academic and professional.
