Abstract

The goal of the thesis is to study the price-setting behavior in Brazil via microdata on prices. We will try to find out if it is the current or the expected inflation that matter to firms when changing their prices. Furthermore, through inflationary shocks we will infer if the framework is one of time or state dependency. (AU)
