Abstract

This project seeks to understand how the french thinker Michel Foucault has contributed on the matter of "neoliberalism" and "governmentality". Such discussion does not ignore the context in which such concepts arise in the work of Foucault, that is, the context of "biopolitics" and "biopower". Moreover, we seek to "map" how, in this field, a dialog between foucauldian and sociological theory rises, that is, we seek to understand how is the reception of Foucaults ideas in Sociology. (AU)
